Right now: free local delivery

For now we deliver across Birmingham and the Black Country only, on our own vehicles: postcodes beginning B (except B49, B50, B78, B79, B80 and B95), WS1 to WS10, WV1 to WV14 and DY1 to DY9. Delivery is free. The minimum order for delivery is £10.

If your postcode is outside this area, checkout will not offer a delivery option. Get in touch and we will let you know when we reach you.

The nationwide service described below — mainland England, priced by postcode zone — is how delivery will work once it launches. It is not available yet, and its charges do not apply to any order placed while we are delivering locally.

Nationwide delivery (coming soon)

We will deliver to mainland England only, on our own vehicles. We do not currently deliver to Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly. Anything that needs a ferry is outside our runs.

If your postcode is not served, checkout will not offer a delivery option. Get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

How nationwide delivery will be priced

Nationwide delivery will be priced by postcode zone, not by weight or basket value. A short run does not subsidise a long one, and you are charged what the run actually costs.

ZoneAreaDelivery
Zone 1West Midlands core — B, DY, WS, WV£20
Zone 2Midlands and the border counties£70
Zone 3Most of England£100
Zone 4The coast, the far North and central London£200
Zone 5The far South West — TQ, PL, TR£300

The delivery page lists every postcode area in each zone, and you can check yours before you order. Once nationwide delivery launches, it will be free on orders of £1,000 or more.

Prices shown include VAT.

When it arrives

We run to a schedule by area rather than handing parcels to a courier network. We arrange your delivery day the same day you order wherever we can, and tell you which day it is coming.

Delivery timescales are estimates given in good faith. They are not guaranteed, and they are not part of the contract unless we have agreed a specific date with you in writing.

Getting it off the vehicle

Deliveries are kerbside. Our driver will get the goods to the nearest safe, accessible point at the property boundary. We cannot carry materials through a house, up steps, through a side gate, or into a back garden, and we cannot take a vehicle onto private ground, grass or a soft driveway.

Please make sure of the following before your delivery day:

  • Someone over 18 is there to receive and check the order.
  • There is clear access for a large vehicle, and somewhere legal to stop.
  • You have help on hand if the items are heavy. Fence panels, gravel boards and concrete posts are a two person lift.

Missed deliveries

If nobody is there and we cannot leave the goods safely, we will have to return them to the yard and rebook. A second run may be charged — at the zone rate once nationwide delivery launches — so please tell us as soon as possible if a date no longer works.

If you ask us to leave goods without anyone present, they are left at your risk from the point of delivery.

Checking your order

Check what has arrived before the driver leaves where you can. Report shortages, damage or wrong items within 48 hours of delivery, with a photograph if possible. See our refund policy for what happens next.

Natural variation in timber

Timber is a natural material. Colour, grain, knots and moisture content vary between boards and between batches, and treated timber weathers and lightens over time. Some movement, splitting and surface checking is normal and is not a fault. Sizes are nominal and are given before planing unless stated otherwise.
