Pressure treated softwood decking board, 32mm thick by 125mm wide, sold by the metre in lengths from 2.4m to 5.4m.
32mm is the thickness that lets you space joists at 400mm centres without the boards feeling springy underfoot — thinner boards need closer centres, which costs more in framing than it saves on decking. Allow roughly eight boards per square metre laid at standard spacing, and order around 10% over your measured area to cover cuts and the odd board you reject.
Lay it with a small gap between boards for drainage and expansion, and keep the cut ends treated — the cut face is the one part the pressure treatment never reached.
